which is the most effective way to get PR?

I know a lots of web page get G PR after 12 months, and some pages get it much faster, say within 3 month. What are the likely most effective ways to get it faster at the moment?
Appreciate if anyone could come up with some thoughts.

 

PR is only good for selling ads. Worry more about serp's and traffic instead.

If you really want a higher PR, buying high pr text links is the fastest route, but it also carries some degree of risk as Google does not condone link selling/buying. If you do not want to take that risk, focus on things like blog commenting, press releases and article submission.

 

Since PR won't get you anywhere just build a good site with exceptional content and you will get links and PR.

Apart from purchase text links, are there proven seo methods which may help to get PR quicker?

 

Do you know normally how quick a site can get PR? It seems to me it takes pretty long time, I mean a couple of months before you see PR on a new website without purchasing any text links from high rank site.

 

there is only one method of getting PR which is by getting backlinks to your site from PR pages. whether buy or get them free, you just need the backlinks. when getting backlinks, 2 things you need to keep in mind. one is the page rank of the page (not the main site) itself and other is how many external backlinks that page has. higher the PR of the page is and less amount of external links that page has, better the PR juice that will transfer to your site.

 

Get lots of relative back links and keep on updating your site.

I've a new websites that somehow have 5,000+ links in yahoo but around 0 in google and msn, I don't get it but they have pr3+ and I guess it's useless unless you sell links on your site.

page rank can be effectively gained from getting backlinks

there are two methods for this

1.paid links(a bit risky you can get hammered by google)(but its fast )
2.organic natural links(these help much more and are considered valuable)

Moreover the page rank of the website which would link to you is of prime importance
