Hi all I thought id create this thread for the benefit of all of us. I am a new Adsense and I am now making around $10 a day my goal is to be making $50 a day in 12 months time. If you have had some success with Adsense please list what you found to work best. It can be anything from ad placement to traffic.

    My tips
Choose a niche you have a passion for
    have unique helpful content
study the google heatmap for placement
    use pictures near your ads
build backlinks using multiple techniques, forum posting, article writing, directory submission, link exchange and bookmarking.

    cheers

    My tip is:

If you're dreaming of making millions with AdSense, and you think you're going to get there by manually creating lots of adsense blogs and sites - think again.

You'll make the ultimate amount of cash through a great deal of automation.

How you go about getting this set up is up to you (hire developers, learn and study and do it yourself over the course of a few months etc.).

My next tip is to select one broad niche and set out to TOTALLY dominate it over time.

Well i have to disagree. I know of people making 20k/month who run many of their own sites (30+ sites).
With time, dedication and persistance, nothing is impossible.

    First off, great thread.

Moving on, I'm new to the game but so far the above three have worked well for me.

    1) I would suggest you not to use pictures next to adsense i read it somewhere its breaks TOS of google adsense.
    2) use the best ad placement with matchin color of your website design ( design your website accordingly to adsense placement, [not MFA] )
    3) use niche market which are high paying keywords
    4) Popular your site through word of mouth or by banner ads etc and give more & more interesting content to users which they recommend to their friends and family:)

I'm talking larger numbers here. There's no doubt you can earn that much by running your own site, but I'm referring to the $55k/day that some people are making...

I initially had a few sites earning a good amount but after having one of them drop from the engines, I've started spreading income across multiple domains.

There's a massive amount of success with B&P methods these days.

With time, dedication and persistence, anything IS possible, but if you make good use of your time, you can do twice as much of anything ;)

    EDIT: In answer to
Google themselves have told me it's okay to do so. So add pictures all you want! YPN, however, gets iffy with this.

Not everyone cares to earn that much ;)

I assume you know that by word of mouth, unless you've somehow managed to use YPN in Australia? ;)

    Rebecca?

Nobody ever said no to more money!

And in answer to that, a local friend is using a US publisher's account on all his sites (they have a strange arrangement worked out).

They're dime a dozen at the moment, you'll need to either get your own written up and customize it.

For autoblogging, RSS2Blog is always a good place to start.

Although I think this is getting into the greyer side of things ;p

    Automated submissions.

Directories are ONE-OFF link building campaigns. Fire and forget since they're tough to change the details of later or change keywords etc.

Articles are an endless supply of linkage, you can get links off article sites and scraper sites. You can build links as fast as you can get articles written.

Blog/forum spammers as well if you're walking on the blacker side of white, but I don't recommend it unless if you're into throwing away sites as fast as you can make them.

Word of mouth works if you have great content, but it's not really necessary.

The co-op works absolutely great if you can find a source to feed it weight (you'll have to try harder than AWS and ODP scrapers these days ;)). Use this as a supplementary link build, as I've heard that Google also monitors linkflux.

Then there's writing blogs with links to your sitemaps embedded within the article and getting those blogs indexed. More free linkage...

There're endless ways to build links.

Match the ads with your site theme. As regards promotion, try writing original articles.

doesn't the bookmarking part have to be done by your site visitors? you can't really have much control over that.
