i have dedicated server and have problem , anyone can help em out ?

    i have dedicated server , with Disk type SATA2 - RAID 1 HARD

    i ordered 2 hdisk , but showed me only one , how can i show the other one ?


    may anyone tell me about steps to show it ?

    what is the software i should use to manage the partitions?

    server partition program or something like this ?

    RAID1 means DISK2 will mirror DISK1. Basically you'll only see 1 hard drive instead of two. You need to remove the RAID1 to see both hard drives.

    If your server has two drives and you have RAID in your server then you can use only one disk. Other disk will be used for RAID and hence you can not use it.

    RAID is a system that allows more than one drive to work together.
    This can be either to make a single bigger drive.
    Or to make a backup system using copy (redundant) drives.
    This is why your drives appear to be one.

    i ordered 2 X 7500 Gb raid how is possible to not able appear the another ?

    You will have to contact your provider to remove RAID from your server. If you are going to use this server in production environment I suggest to use RAID for the server.

    You can not access/see RAID drive via RDP.

    i contact the provider and the reply was like that

    Looks like HW RAID-1. Ask your host what is the HW RAID controller, brand and model number.
