Hey guys, My website is #3 on Google for a popular keyword but Im getting no traffic from Search Engines. http://www.google.com/search?q=fast...s=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a Anyone know why? Thanks,
It is because you have a good site content and you also have a nice backlinks that's why you are in number 3 in Google search engine.
I guess that keyword has only few searches. It would be better if you look for keyword with a high volume of searches.
#3 out of 38,300,000 its really good. I suggest targetting long tail keywords, but still I dont know why do not receive traffic from SE. do mean you do not receive at all, or you do not receive the traffic that you think or which to receive from SE?
Sorry - sounds impressive ... #3 g.es fast online money - Competition 38.000.000 # 4 g.com + co.uk too - but my KW research tool (and it might be wrong but I am relying on it since years with great success) shows less than 10 searches per day. It looks like you are targetting the wrong search term.
I actually just randomly bought this domain and let it sit there for a while with some clickbank affiliate links. I haven't checked for like 6 months and a week ago, I was looking at all my domains and while checking this one out, I noticed its top rankings in Google. Should I do something to it or just sell it off for some cash? Thanks,
The search string above gives me a google results page, but you may not be number 3 from where I am searching, it does differ from country to country and region to region. You may be up there at nr 3 but that does not guarantee that anyone will click your link over anyone elses. Tell me the website and ill see if I can spot what is stopping anyone clicking.
its most likely because you have targetted a high competition key word with low search volumes, you need to reserahc your keywords before you dive in and rank for them!
Lots of competitors but no one goes for that ST. The #1 has just a PR3 and only 6 inbound links on Google/Yahoo 982 Looks like the competition knows - there is no business with that ST. If the overall onpage optimization is ok, I'd try to change the focus to a more interesting search term within the niche.
If you are getting absolutely no search engine traffic at all, I would check to see that whatever software you have tracking traffic is working properly. With a quick look, I didn't see Analytics tracking code. Are you not using Google Analytics (www.google.com/analytics) to track, at least as a backup? Google's Keyword Tool (https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal) shows plenty of searches for the phrase you noted so I don't see how you wouldn't be getting at least a few of those searches with holding a number 3 spot. If you are seeing traffic and are not happy with conversions, or are relying solely on how many people are emailing you to tell you how much traffic you are getting, then I highly suggest putting some time into making your site more user friendly and encouraging when it comes to taking action. As for selling the domain/site, I guess that is up to you. It seems like a reasonable domain that Google seems to be smiling upon that might get some interest from the right buyer. I guess if you don't feel you will take advantage of the position by working on the site, making some money with it, and building the site up to something more than a page with text, then sell it to get at least something from it.
I said I would look to see what might be preventing clicks and I am pretty sure it is the description sentence that google have chosen to show in your display. It says "Make Money with Survey's **. The Biggest Money Making Method Online! Test. What are Paid Surveys? " Thats a real put off for anyone who has been trying to make money on line for any amount of time, because we all know that most of that is not true. Funny however that the site itself says nothing about surveys and simply asks for a response to an email address. Try to change the description, unfortunately this will be from a cached version so any changes will take time. Then on your website you need to force a call to action, asking someone to send an email is not direct enough, be stronger and demand action (that last bit will help conversion not clicks) but the description is definitely putting people off clicking.
as an exact match google keyword tool says it gets 91 searches a month - bearing in mind the top results get most clicks - and the sponsored links count as top results as most users of search engines barely differentiate - it's just not a frequently-enough-searched for keyword/phrase to get traffic from.
Before you write a page revolving around a keyword, you should use the google adwords: keyword tool. You'll be able to see how many searches that keyword gets ahead of time.
Rofl at this reply. I think you missed his point. Personally I find it hard to believe you don't get any traffic. Ok, "fast online money" isn't something I would've thought would get searched that much. Having loads of results doesn't mean there is a lot of traffic for that keyword. However, being 3rd on Google for anything will give you some traffic. Frankly I don't believe you get no traffic, I think you just rate your key word too highly.
I got Searches yesterday because this topic was up. Other than that, I got none. On the first day, I was searching it myself and told others to double check. I'll hold on to it for a couple more days, try to figure out if I want to become a Clickbank affiliate or just sell it off. Thanks guys,
