I was using Ubuntu for a while and now switching to Fedora ( actually, I'm burning it into a DVD right now ).
Ubuntu is great! Really faster than Windows, if configured correctly, a lot more secure also. Every software needed found for free! Sun's office suite, Gimp... I actually tested my Ubuntu on a usb key, booted with it, all drivers were working except webcam driver for Sony laptop, had the driver coded in a couple of days! Everything fine since! Viva Open Source
Currently, I use; PC 1 = XP / Linux (Dual-Booted) PC 2 = Vista / Linux (Dual-Booted) MacBook Pro = OSX / XP / Linux / Vista iMac = OSX / Vista / Linux All work like charms.
I use windows as my main operating system, i also have ubuntu but find that there is better support still for windows
I use Windows, Mac and Linux they all have their strengths and weaknesses depending on what you want to do.
I think we should buy the original version of Microsoft because if OS will have any problem Microsoft responsible for that OS it's good than free OS.
Microsoft hardly ever made the "original" OS and, when you are talking operating systems, not windowing environments, it's a horrible operating system. Far worse than the leading "free", or we should say "open source" operating systems.
