Why is my internet so slow :o

    Why is my internet so slow, in one room where theres wireless it goes up to 36 mbs (not sure how fast that is, but its ok!) and on the coputer i have in my room which is also wireless it only has a speed of 1mbs

    In my room i have a Linskyes (about 5 years old) wireless adapter (and we don't have the linksys router set up) In the other room with have sky wireless set up which connects to our sky modem downstairs (which then connects to the internet)

    How do i speed my PC up :eek:

    Get wired! A nice long ethernet cord should do nicely. :rolleyes:

    Cables will make a mess but damn they are fast solution :)

    wireless net always sucks.... get a dsl or cable!!!!

    Your wireless router is old and the closer you are to the router the faster your speed will be. Get a CAT5 cable. If you aren't using DSL or Cable with your wireless that is also another reason its slow.

    yeh i found that if i pulled my PC out a littler it went alot faster, and i also pointed the wireless network towards the door so it would have a more direct route to follow

    Yup, RIght.. that works slowly. And DP works too much slowly.

    SO its better to use a cable connection. :) I hope that would help you out.

    Come to Cambodia and get on the internet then go back to USA you have it so gooooood there in the USA. Be grateful for what you have and go get a cord.

    In my opinion wireless connections are slower. So get some wire connection.
