Page rank dropped, therefore i chnaged the design of the blog. Please review it?

Hello members,

In the recent google update i lost a PR and my blog PR fall to 2. Therefore i thought to change the design, make it popular and very professional. So i have changed the design. I am seeking your advice, reviews and analysis on the same.

1. does this will adversely effect SEO and ranking?
2. How is the new look?
3. Is is looking professional?
4. Is placements of ADs good?
5. Any suggestion to make it further better.

I think it looks quite professional! I'm not sure what your previous site looked like so I cannot compare the two. The ad placements seem good, they definitely don't take away from the blog. Keep up the good work!

Thanks both of you for advices. I am now concentrating on SEO of these sites. Hopefully i'll gain some rank. Can you all suggest some great and quick techniques for SEO.

I recommend getting your own domain and getting it off of blogger. That'll really help with SEO. You'll of course have to get new back links, but having .blogspot.com right now is hurting you.

If you need help setting it up on your own domain, I'll walk you through it. You can still use blogger to host it.

I have a private domain on my blogger account and I think it looks quite professional for something on blogger. See: melbel.com

If you'd like, I can check your site's SEO just check the link in my sig, although there is a lot I can't check because of the whole .blogspot.com thing. If you do buy a domain, however, I recommend registering it for more than one year because having less than one year on your domain can hurt your SEO.

looks nice and simple I would really suggest getting your own domain as well as Melbel says its simple and well worth the investment of a domain. Also I don't really like the black banner on your page its to simple not blending in properly other then that its good. Get a domain build backlinks and good to go

 

It is a professional three column blog .
I like the design .
But the right column is blank .
Why don't you have some contents or ads there .

nice blog, great designs too, though if the dark grey bg change to lighter grey or even white, would make it better i think and the headline fonts is too plain i think, maybe arial would do well .....

Hi friends,

Google has updated PR again today, but my blog hasnt recovered the lost PR. Though my blog gets cached within 1 hour of update and even the backlinks have increased but still no changes in PR? What may be the possible reasons?
