How to be Number one ?

Hello webmasters,

i like to ask what are the strategies for getting number one in google ?

How to optimize a website to be on first rank in google and after getting the rank how to maintain the rank? please give me some detail suggestion.

Some times i have seen some site which have only 15-20 back links and still that site is on first rank in google how this can happen??

 

You cant optimise a website to be in first position in google but you can optimise to rank for keywords and phrases.

Maintaining position often means constant promotion, but not over promotion and hoping that your competitors dont start working harder or finding a better promotion approach than you're doing.

I could probably get some pointless keyword phrase to rank by the weekend but if it results in nothing for my site then its, well... pointless.

You will find that the useful keywords and phrases are not easy to rank for, it helps if other sites in your niche dont practice seo, that does give you the upper hand.

 

Well thanks buddy for the quick reply but i am facing some problems as my keywords are quite competitive like its web development, application development etc. and the other things i like to know how to do good promotion of a website.

what steps can help for getting high rank?? As i am asking because every one talking about back links back links and i have found some sites which have very few back links but still they are on the top so how it can be done without backlinks ?

 

Maybe those backlinks are few but high quality, also age of a site and domain may help, on page content etc

They could use blackhat methods, depends on the page content too.

Ranking in most cases is not an overnight thing, backlinks have to be got, then indexed to count towards your site.

So many factors, impossible to say, even if you showed me the competitor urls, its still difficult.

I always laugh when seo peeps take a quick look and say oh yes its because of this and that and the other, as if the background algo's dont influence whats happening.

So You Decide First Which One Is Comfortable With Your Business.

As Per My Opinion You Get Number One Long Time So You Must Go With Organic SEO.

 

It depends on the competitiveness of the keyword, if the keyword is not competitive even if you do nothing on SEO it will rank by just on page. But if the keyword is competitive you will need a hardwork and continous link building.

Well my keywords having good competition but cant say very much competitive so i like to know what are the best ways to promote a website with a good effect from my niche.

 

Then study those who are ranking, try to get links from those who link to them. Make better contents than they had.

 

You need hard work and skills to search related and quality sites.

 

That was the case before Google decided to punish every hard worker who did this with quality link directories.

seork.. you're a web developer.. you already have 50% of the skillset.
Work it out.. look at these sites which only have 15-20 backlinks and are ranked high.. learn from them.

And its not all about backlinks... Most of the people on here are adsense bloggers, and for them SEO is about building links, more links, digg, and xml sitemaps. Very little of the advice you'll see here will relate to technical organic practices, yet its this which is what will yield someone in your field the best rewards.
As a developer you'll be able to wrote W3 good structured HTML, or at least you should be able to (yet i know a whole heap of developers who have no idea). Work on that for now, making sure you're keywords are in your most promoninent tags and in the copy. Make you code ratio as low as possible. Experiement with different term variants in different tags and monitor results.
The simple rule is the most effective.. make your page about what it is about. If you're loooking to target 'web development in michigian', make sure your page targets 'web development in michigan' both in the copy and in the code.
And yes, any backlink link helps, and internal linking too.

 

In my opinion,the good content and high quality backlinks could make your site have a good position on search engines.
