Till now i thought that creating an rss feed was useful only for blogs and websites that regularly updated their content (ie at least one new article each day) However now i am finding that people are submitting individual articles to rss directories in order to gain more backlinks. For example people are creating feeds for their squidoo lens or hubpages or sites that have just 4-5 new articles each month and submitting them to various directories to gain the backlinks. Can this be done...i mean without getting punished by google?
Good question friend, Also I am wondering on this trend. might be any of senior would knowing more on this.
rss is usualy dynamically generated against a database because the point of rss is to let a remote party know theres new stuff on the stie. You can make ANY site have rss.. but you would have to progam it youself, but first figure out what to put in there. RSS for static pages is kinda pointless! Thats why forums and blogs have it almost inheritent now a days
