HTML Validator Errors and Google Rankings

    Hi,

I have a WP product blog that is 16 months old. I've been careful with posting regularly and proper use of keywords. I've gotten a regular flow of
links from quality niche-related sites. However, I am having rankings problems with it. After running the HTML validiator, it shows 101 errors and 53 warnings. The site displays properly though.

    So, I have two questions:

o Would that level of errors affect my rankings with Google?
o Could any of the experts out there take a quick look and help me clean them up?

Please PM me for the site name

    Thanks

    George

To my knowledge it would have no affect on it at all. Major websites such as CNN have a google PR of 10 and still have errors.

I personally wouldn't worry too much about it.

I agree with you here. It does not have much effect in SE rankings but may have some accessibility issues if some one is using other devices to surf the net such as cellphone browsers.

Normally any CSS coder do there best to validate a site but there are some common errors left unwillingly such as Improper Nesting of Tags, Missing "ALT" tags, Improper closing of Tags but to me most sites appears well in all browsers as well as mobile devices. [IMO]

I can help you clean the stuff if you are specifically looking for it. PM me your blog URL and I see what best I can do. :)
