If you suggested a website, <boilerplate warning> some volunteer will process your listing suggestion in time but we can't predict who or when that might be. Elapsed times can range from a few days to a few years. There is no need to re-suggest your website and doing so could be counter-productive because a later suggestion overwrites any earlier one. Please note that not all listing suggestions are accepted.

If you applied to be an editor, the huge majority of applications are determined within a couple of months and most are much faster than that.

I've read where you should wait around three months. If still not listed, send the editor a nice follow-up to your submission. Wait another three months and if still not listed, send an email to the editors' editor. Keep this up but always be nice. It will be worth the listing.

Yes, bad advice can be found everywhere.
However, if anyone is interested in good advice, I suggest listening only to those with reliable credentials.

I just ignore any emails saying I have not yet been listed, if I am to edit in the suggestions list then I do it in the order that seems fairest to me and people trying to jump the Q don't get looked at any faster.
