First of all, this is only and exclusively about the Amazon France (.fr) affiliate program! Everything is fine with all other countries. We have a relatively new account there, all incoming traffic is tracked correctly by Amazon.fr, but the sales aren't, nothing shows up in the stats. Yes, we definitely have sales. On the french affiliate forum, there is only little information, ranging from people not getting paid, sales not getting tracked, support mails staying unanswered or just canned automatic replies... Does anyone know what's going on with Amazon.fr? We stopped all traffic till the problems are solved. Any ideas what's going on there? Does anyone have similar experiences with the Amazon.fr affiliate program?
Yes, same situation here. By the way Amazon.fr has a long tradition of scam Sorry, mate. Regards Thibaut
How would you know the sales aren't tracked? Maybe there wasn't any sales to track. My french account is fine but sales are not good, but that's due to the small amount of traffic hence clicks.
Believe me, we sent them enough targetted traffic to ensure that a tracking error is the only possible reason. Similar traffic does well in all other countires covered by Amazon, so why should should we get 0 sales in France if we see around 20 sales with that ammount of traffic in all other countries.
Wow, and I thought it would just be something temporary. Very strange, in the other countires covered my Amazon everything is running like a clockwork for years, never a late payout, never a tracking problem.
...was not getting paid timely as an Amazon Associate living in the USA. I emailed and emailed and Amazon France finally emailed me back -- saying I had to submit an invoice first to them. They emailed me the format that the invoice should look like; I've included that below. Amazon France Associate earnings that I earned in November 2007 were finally mailed to me in a "cheque" as they say, to the USA on March 31, 2008. Part of the delay was because I didn't realize they were waiting on me to send them an invoice. Don't know if other Amazon France affiliates in the USA get their monies earlier -- but needless to say, I haven't really pitched Amazon France products lately. Maybe if I find a hot product I'll try it again, and then I'll make sure to email them an invoice ASAP! Here's the Amazon France email string: Dear Associate, Thank you for sending us your invoice. A cheque for the amount of your commissions will be sent to you as soon as possible. Thank you for choosing Amazon.fr Associates Programme. Cordialement, Ju G. Thanks alot, good to know that they need an invoice, I'll save it in case the tracking starts working again
This month, my US account is 152 items, France 9 items, Canada 9 items. My conversion rates are 7%, 5%, 5% respectively. I can understand why France account isn't doing well because all the items are really expensive compared to US items. I personally would think twice before buying from France. But it is my Canada account that's strange because the items there are cheap and people still don't buy. Maybe buying culture in certain countries are different.
