When I search in google.co.uk whenever I click a search result it opens in a new window. I don't want this to happen. Can someone help me please?

I haven't got the "new window" button checked in the preferences and the same thing happens in all browsers.

Hmmm still sounds like a browser issue rather than search engine. Or perhaps you may have a virus or some sort of adware pop-up? Just speculating, sorry I couldn't be much more help

Yeah I doubt this is a Google specific issue. Really it sounds like you just have the shift key stuck lol.
