There is a website which claim to place any website on top of Yahoo or MSN.
I have reasked if its PPC and they said no this is placement and they charge on monthly bases

I am not sure if i can post the URL of the website, but is it possible at all or thats obviously fake promise ?

They said that they have contracts with Yahoo and MSN

I bet it's either a total scam or they are a SEO company using 'Get your site on top of the results' as a marketing slogan.
    Placing the URL won't hurt.

If they use a word which does not exist, then yes you are guaranteed to be listed in the top of search engine results.

But otherwise, read the contract well.

No company can promise to get you rankings. They can provide examples of where they've done it in the past, but with no guarantees.

I just looked at the end of their frontpage and it says "... place your website in the TOP SPONSORED LISTINGS on Yahoo!". That's not the organic listings - if it were it would surely be a scam.

I would'nt go for that. But I will say this, if someone knows what they are doing then you could promise first page ranking on the serps. However is the client willing to pay the amount that takes to get it done.

Don't run with them, find a respectable SEO that knows what they are doing - and by the way not everyone on here knows what they are doing... no names. :)

Guys, i am watching my seo guy at work and allready he has gotten 3 extremely competitive sites into the top 10 of google. Im trying to get him away from clients that want him to sign a non disclosure aggreement, and that is what is killing him. The part that is killing me is that hes bending over backwards doing overtime for his clients. I can show one example. Last time i went on a message board for this, it seemed like the other seo's tried to cut me in pieces and got all tipsy about it. He is in india so thats why he isnt earning huge amounts...... YET
I can show one example if anyone wants to pm me, because he got permission from one client to show his work.

Banless, yep i agree with you on that point. First page rankings can be gotten. What better seo can u find than one who created a search engine from scratch and knows the working of search engine rankings well.

I'm sure they haven't got such a contract, search results are simple that, search results. If they say they have a "contract" it may be about placing sponsored results but not normal ones.

Also what kind of seo company is this that they don't even know they have to write content. Most of the sections in that site are images!

Sorry but this nonsense of "we have an an agreement with Yahoo! and it's affilates to allow us to place your website in the TOP SPONSORED LISTINGS in Yahoo is TOTAL BS.

Then on top of it they tell you it's not the paid sponsored ads section.

This stinks of scam 1000000% ....... right down to their BS Flash site that cant be indexed!

Real SEO takes time and work (both for the owner and the seo company) ANYONE who promises fast placement or guarantees a position in ANY of the engines is either lying to you or doing something very very illegal! RUN LIKE HELL!

Why isn't there a site which just mentions all the websites that promote these scams. There could be a rating system. Iam sure the companies will be more wary of promoting their dubious campaigns.

I also have lost a good deal of money with a scam site called 1stsearchandranking. I paid money and received no traffic.

They claim to create a site for you and get organic traffic which they'll use for PPC to oursites. God! having been this business for about 1 yr, I was so stupid to waste my money.

If any one has any plans to go with them, pls don't be stupid like me.
