I recently finished a site called Dollar Hauler and I'm not sure about the layout. I like it but I feel like it could be better / more user friendly with some changes. Any suggestions?

    IMHO...

Apparently you need to register to see what products you can buy. This will lose sales and conversions for you. I was interested until I saw this, but my interest dropped to nil afterwards. What can I buy there?

The right-side menus are unorthodox and the links on the FAQ and Community pages don't have enough contrast so they are hard to read.

looks good, I'm not really a big fan of the dark colors, but that's just me. I feel like websites that are with white backgrounds are just easier to read.

You don't really have to buy anything on the site but I see what you are saying. I've added the offers page outside so people can see what they are getting into before they sign up.

What else could I do to improve the number of members who actually go to the offers page and complete offers? Also, I have a problem with referrals - only like 4 members have gotten referrals. Any ideas?

I'd place a call to action onto all pages drawing the visitors eye to it. It should be seen from 6 feet away from your screen. It will draw the clicks. Look up the term call to action for some examples.

Next, I'd count the number of clicks on each page to your desired intent. You lose about 30% of people for every click. Minimize them if possible.

BTW, I like the menu also. The right-side is just not where navigation usually is.

For me, the website looks pretty good. I like dark colors but some people don't.
    And also, pretty cool menu.

    good luck on the website!

Sales pages should have bright, eye-grabbing colors. You don't want to bore somebody with your sales page.

Try some more vibrant colors and a lighter background!

As a web designer I try to stay away from the darker colors when possible. Don't take me wrong, sometimes black is appropriate, but I don't think it works for you the way it should at least. Try using a lighter color scheme and see what that does to your overall presentation.

Do you mean validation errors, php errors, jibberish output (i was just fixing it today), etc?

I agree there needs to be more attention brought to the offers pages and referral pages, I just don't know how to do it. I tried with the arrow and it helped a little but I'm not sure how I can draw attention to it.

    Agreed. It's pretty neat.

I would suggest creating a video on how it all works - 1:00 or less, diagramming the signup process, receiving the money, etc.

I've thought of that but don't really know how to integrate it into the page. Any ideas?

    Hey,

I think the content looks decent, as does the concept.

-I agree with the other dude though that the right nav. should probably be on the left as it's unconventional where it is (usually banner ads go there, and people have learned to ignore that gutter for this reason)
    - I feel there is too much grey used, and also the text would be better placed on white background to improve contrast & therefore readability/scanning.
    - some minor alignment issues with the different content areas?
    - Personally I don't like the main font because it makes it too hard to scan headings quickly- something most web users love doing.

Sorry. Hope this helps though :)
