How can i send a mass email without forwarding?

I have a large number of email addresses that I've collected through one of my sites and I want to send out a newsletter. The only way i can think to do this is to forward the message to all of the recipients, but I'm looking for a better way. I don't want the recipients to know who else is receiving the message.

I know there are services like aweber but I want to try this the old fashioned way first. Can anyone offer any suggestions?
    thanks

There are a lot of services out there but it sounds like you would rather test one instead of signing a contract. I suggest easymsg.com. Ive used them a few times recently for things just like this and since they are pay per use, its really nice. Additionally, I dont have time (or skills) to design a template, they do all that crap for you.

You might also try myemma.com similar service, but I never used 'em.

You'll also want to read up on spam laws etc... some recepiants wont care but its good to know about to keep you from being spammy lol.

Send them all using Blind Carbon Copy
    BCC

it will blindly copy the email to each recipient without showing the other recipients of the message to each person receiving.

Add all the email addresses to a mailist list. Then you just send the message to the mailist list address.

I used Live Mail Pro when I wanted to mass email some customers just one time. Worked good for me.

    Thanks all.

any web based email has this option in the send to area.

what email system do you have for your site.

mine only allows 1000 people to be sent emails a day.

i'm using gmail. I just checked, and under the 'To' area there is a button for 'add cc' and 'add bcc'.
Clicking 'bcc' brings up a new text area so the 'To' field is on top, and the 'bcc' field underneath.
So which field do I put the email addresses in?
    thanks

usually you put your own email address in the To: field and all the people you are sending in the bcc: field.

Do you mean a free service?

I wouldn't not recommend them because they can't get through the spam protector.

If you don't like Aweber then you could consider getresponse or prosender.
