Ebay/CraigList Online marketing for How To Videos

    Howdy
I have searched high and low for some tips, ideas, or feedback. I have produced my own series of how to videos (unique quick website building and online promoting that actually works). I am also planning an Ebay series as well. I am not interested in marketing to any one on this forum at this point but I do have some specific questions:

    1. As Ebay has banned the auctions for digital products, are people having better results with Ebay classified ads or are they doing better with sending out actual videos on a disc? I am very interested in hearing about performance results for my type of product or similar.

    2. Does CraigList marketing work if I specifically target certain US cities with high response? I plan to do this manually. Does any current auto posting Craig List software still work with their new anti-spamming techniques? All in all, does Craig List perform better than Ebay as compared for my type of product?

    3. Is Google base worth trying to advertise on?

    4. Can you actually embed a hyperlink in YouTube videos?

    6. Would affiliate marketing actually work but I have no interest in dispersing funds to other marketers? I just want to sell my own digital product.

    5. What other unique online promo tactics are there that I am not thinking about?

I am wanting to keep my marketing techniques to organic only due to lack of cash.
Thanks for making the best unbiased online forum!

While I can't answer all of them, I have an opinion on some. The first one is I find Craiglist to not be beneficial really. Posting in big US cities seems great, but there's so much competition for views that it's very difficult. You also run a high risk of being flagged as spam. Affiliate marketing works great as you are trying to make $$. I use linkshare for my marketing partners and it's going great!

For lack of cash, get into SEO: back links, pinging, social bookmarking, link exchanges....etc.

Is ebay classified ads working for anyone? How about sending product on discs? Do these work for my kind of product as explained?

Sign up at youtube, post your videos and sign up for a "Youtube Partner Account". What the partner account does, is it links your google adsense account to your youtube account. You can then submit your videos for revenue sharing. Once the video is accepted for revenue sharing, a banner is put next to the video. When someone watches your video and clicks the banner, youtube shares the click revenue with you.

In the near future, youtube is supposed to release a "Buy this video" feature. Meaning that you will be able to sell your videos over youtube. The major movie makers in hollywood are getting ready to launch their movies on youtube in this manner. I dont know the "exact" details, but its in the works. There is even a "purchased videos" section already in your youtube profile.
