Hey guys, I am new to this whole advertising scene. So I am here to ask a couple of questions before I place AdSense on my site: www.photoshopkingdom.com Right, how much is it per click, minimum is $10 I know that, what about pounds? I am on Wordpress, my site has now hit 12,000 unique visits and growing, now about 300 unique visits per day. Will this be quite good for the ads? And, why - do I have to be 18 goddamit, and they pay by cheque, which god knows when it'll arrive... I know you'll call be a newbie, I am. You're probably going to send me to Google AdSense terms and conditions, please don't. Explain. Thank you.
I don't understand the "pay per click $ 10.00 minimum. Do you mean a minimum of 10.00 per click on adsense? Because you seldom if ever you got those perclick in adsense. Yes you need to 18 years old to be able to participate in the adsense program. You can put your codes on any of your sites and do not need to meet certain number of unique visitors to be able to participate or put those codes on your site/blog Hope this helps, JulieV
There is no way to know what the click-through rate will be on your site, and no way to know how much you will be paid per click. $10 per click is very very unlikely though - as far as I'm aware most clicks pay under $1, and if you read the posts here, some people only get $0.01 (one penny) per click. So let's do a little math. If you have a 5% click-through rate (which is pretty good IMHO) at 300 visitors per day, that's 15 clicks per day. If each click averages $0.25 (which, again I think is pretty good), you'd be earning $3.75 per day. But there is no guarantee that you'd even make that much - if your click through rate is 1% and you are only getting $0.01 per click, you would only earn 3 cents a day. So if you do add Adsense, realize that it's not an easy path to riches. As JulieV says, you have to be 18 to sign up. That's because you have to be at least 18 years old to legally enter into a contract. You can have a parent or guardian sign up for you - this has to be done with their permission, of course, since you will have to enter their personal and tax information and payments will be made in their name. If you do want to use Adsense, you might also want to change the URL of your site, since Photoshop is a trademarked term and thus technically is against the Adsense program policies.
