hey ppl i have an idea to increase the PR of a client me myself i'm not a PR whore but apparently its this client of mine's main focus... i was thinking of building a totally different site, using the Alex Tew approach if you will, to create something unique and stunning that i(i hope) lots of ppl will blog about.. (i will pay some to do so like tyler cruz or someone like that.) if the site gets a lot of external links and i add a link to point to the clients site, should that work? or is this just a stupid approach? as you can tell i really think i could get some links from bloggers because of my idea... cheers
Sure it will help with the PR of the client’s site, but not that much. All the PR the new site gets will not be passed on to the clients site so you will be spending a lot of time and effort on the new site that you should be spending on the clients site!
well you're right i guess its not the best approach to increase my client's PR. by the way i love your blog!
I think it's a good approach, though there are numerous other ways to increase PR, which are much easier. Commenting on high-traffic do follow blogs will help tremendously.
You want to raise the PR of Site A so you're going to build Site B, generate content for Site B that is good enough to make people want to blog about it and link to it, do link development for Site B, do on-page/on-site SEO for Site B... just so that you can add a link from Site B pointing to Site A. Congratutations... You just got Site A a single inbound link which will probably move the PR needle none if they are even a PR2 or PR3 site currently. Your time would be better spent developing backlinks directly to the current site.
That will work but you need a lot of such sites that you will have to promote to get real PR boost for the client site. As canonical said, get some direct backlinks for your client's site. You can also do bait and switch if your client's site is boring and no-one will link to it )
I don't mind about PR because, It won't help you in getting much traffic. End of day everybody needs traffic so I always concern about SERP only.
That approach would work, but I think that would take some time. Posting in forums and commenting in blogs are much easier ways to increase PR.
yes, it will work. It's a beginner's take on 'autoblogging', in fact, which is a superb way to build backlinks automatically. You can read about autoblogging in the free ebook from http://www.bloggerhigh.com or search google for it.
"Are you suffering from Pagerank obsession? Don't! Pageranking, despite what many SEO experts say, are just a small part of your SEO plan. The ranking algorithm is complicated; believe us when we tell you, a lower pageranked site can actually surpass a higher ranked site." True. this is copy pasted from one seo expert.
hi, Google Page rank is depend on unique content of the website. Also it is varies every 3 - 4 months.
Do you mean something like exchanging links? I won't recommend this since you are also giving out some link juice by doing it. At the same time Google dislikes this practice.
