You can invest your money in stock market or you can simply start website business. Make a blog, then buy articles for it or use the money to promote it.

"im trying to find a job no luck the economy is horrible"

You can try your luck at freelance sites. You can get jobs on the internet and freelance site is the best place for that.

Don't invest on anything, just become a copyrighter! If you are a native speaker.

    You advise on business, right?

The young lad can buy an index that follows oil as a commodity. It should certainly go up in a year. Will it double... doubtful unless Israel attacks Iran or something drastic happens. It's a dark example but that is how the market works.

Sir you made it seem like investing in oil and sitting on it with his last $100 would make him financially free!!!! I think he needs the $100 so that is why he was asking for advice.

To the OP why not round up the kids and have them cut grass in the neighborhood!!! You could easily upscale this for the summer. By summers end BAM!! You can look into other businesses. All you need is to make flyers and print them out and a lawn mower for starters.

Build websites and sell them to make huge profits. This is called website flipping.

Where did I make any hint that he would be financially free in my post -

"A hundred dollars? That isn't much. Either invest in your computer skills or buy OIL and sit on it. Should make money on that down the road."

The poster asked about investing as well. I gave him an option:cool:

Has, trust me you do not want to be in the stock market. There are "naked shorters" who force any stock to drop like a rock without warning. It is totally unpredictable, and I have no idea why the SEC doesn't reinstate the uptick rule and other simple rules to prevent these crooks from driving down stocks and causing you to lose thousands of dollars. However what I would recommend is peer to peer lending.

Prosper.com is/was a great site but for the past year they stopped new signups, so I wonder if that is their way of saying their site will disappear once all of the current loans are paid off. However there are other peer to peer lending sites that you may want to look into. So far I made lent out 40 small loans and even though only two people defaulted on their load, I am still making profit from all of the other loans in good standing.

Keep your $100 and work on creating blogs and sites and selling them. $100 is too little to do anything worthwhile with *and* get it back. You cannot even have a normal business lunch with 1 person + yourself for $100. When you are creating something with value, like a website, you'll see what you need the $100 for automatically. Like you can have a design made for that.

I'd buy domain names in bulk and re-sell them here or on other forums/auction sites. If you check Google's Hot Trends (or just the news) you can get some ideas for domain names that'll sell as quick as you buy them.

Works for me (and I've had to start with nothing but $30) but your results may vary :)

You can design sites for free (with a software website generator ofc) and only charge for hosting, in your reselller account.

I take it back OP, if you want to invest I strongly recommend ABR:

    http://www.google.com/finance?q=NYSE:ABR

The stock is on fire and it pays a good dividend. They are announcing earnings on Friday so depending on what they say it could make the stock skyrocket even more. If not, you will still earn money on the amount of shares you own from the dividends.
