You know what I just learned. I know what some of you are probably going to be saying. What took you so long? Well you know all I have tried marketing was a GPT site looking for referrals. Well I just found out that I have been marketing this site with money making posts. It is the wrong thing to do. The thing to do, is find out what people want and write about it. Then incorporate your idea into the blog. Instead of just advertising my GPT site, I need to find what interests me besides making money(because that interests everyone) and blog about it, then advertise the GPT site and get referrals that way. Because a blog about something else will draw more traffic. I know what people are thinking, its not new information. But, it was new to me and I am glad that I finally figured it out.
Kev, please accept my appology a GPT site is also known as a Get Paid To site. It is where you get paid to complete offers and surveys. Your right jus because I know what it is doesnt mean everyone does. It is rather an easy and quick way to learn affiliate marketing. No cost, and they pay out to complete offers.
You're absolutely right, blogging about a topic that interests people is a great way to generate traffic to your site. Here are a few more tips: 1. email lists: A great tool but no good if you can't get people to sign up on your site, unless you join a listing site. A great one is listdotcom at http://ListDotCom.com/salespage/113952 where you join, create an email you want to send out and then get others to sign up under you. The tradeoff (as there is with anything) is that you get a few emails a week from those above you. But getting your message out to thousands a week is easily worth a few emails that you can just delete if you want. 2. Don't Touch My Ads: A great site where you can design your ad and it will be shown to other subscribers. Again the tradeoff is that ads come up on your screen when you're not actively using your computer. But each ad you see gives you points that allow your ads to be sent out. And yours go out even before you refer anyone under you. The referrals just help you accumulate points faster so your ad goes out more often. You can set the time interval for when the ads come up on your screen or disable it completely. I've been using it for a little while and it isn't annoying at all cuz you can just close them right away. And I've seen some really useful ones that will help me get even more traffic to my site.
