So far the results have been amazing! First I gave them about 5% which made crap. But then I took a risk. I was doing really very well with google, making pretty good money, and having a great CTR. I have made the switch about 3 days ago (giving them 95% of my traffic), but I have had them for 5 months. After the switch i have seen days around the low $XXX mark. I'm on pace to a record month! Pros - High CPC. Site Targetting, Good Customer Service, Great Features, Stuff Hapenning Fast. Cons - Low CTR, not as featured pack yet, slower loading ads.
Enjoy it. Please let us know if/when you are "smartpriced." Hopefully it will not happen to you but be aware YPN at first pays a ton but then mysteriously the RPC as they call it drops dramatically (for some of users anyway).
That will happen. I have a friend that was getting $2 - $3 a click back in May, now its down to $.20 cents to $.50 cents. It will eventually get lower than adsense!
have you guys tried targetting a different category? I don't know about getting lower than adsense...it's till beta, but it's true that the RPC will eventually lower, but I think for me atleast, that it's still doing pretty well.
yea I have to watch out for that, foregin traffic. After audits, it looks the same. I haven't had any changes in revenue...(hopefully i don't jinx myself)...i guess the recent increase in earnings was due to not only giving them 95% of my traffic, but placing the ads on a channel that delivered nearly a 10% CTR with Adsense.
The change probably boosted it too - destroyed so-called blindness. Update us next week and let us know if the results are still better than usual?
the revenue potential for yahoo if you can get a high CTR, even 1% with the right site, can be 10x that of adsense. The result i got is already 4x that of adsense, while the CTR is 4900% less when compared with giving them more traffic. Still some more test to be done though.
