Forum signiture links really work?

Yes I know I've heard it from the beginning that signiture links in forums help improve link popularity...
One of my sites, which is in my sign (a site with blogspot) I haven't added the link anywhere except on forum sign and when I searched for the links there have been no link results...
So I was wondering whether these links help or does it take time for them to appear?

 

Links help, but:
- if the link is a "no follow" then it does not contribute to your page PR
- forum pages have usually low PR
- there are a lot of links from typical forum page (signatures)

 

Forums like DP which provide do-follow signatures, give a helping hand in your SEO efforts apart from giving your link, excellent reach.

Visibility is greatly enhanced if the member is active and has been interacting regularly. You perhaps need to spend more time here and be active, to derive the maximum benefits.

If forum sigs did not work then why do so many people buy them? I mean, mine are going for $140 per month and people are still buying them. There's so much talk about this and so many different opinions.

 

But if you are regular poster in any high pr forum! then signature links under your profile provides impressive link popularity

 

I agree with you. If you are a member of High PR forum and doing regular posting then its useful to gain links for your site.

 

Just keep posting and be a regular contributor to dp and you will see results it doesn't happen in an instant

 

Ofcourse you are correct. My friend just kept on participating actively in forums, and before he began he just had 5 back links and within two weeks time he has got 45 back links thats really great ..! And forum signatures really work.

If forum admin has kept signature links as no-follow then the signature links will not be useful in link building, I think.

 

The links help, but they are not the best kind of links either. But in SEO every little bit helps

Forums help are minimal. You can hardly go far with forum signatures alone. I suggest you discover for yourself other ways of building links. Even though a forum might have a PR of 7. the thread wherre you post your signature will in most cases have a PR0

 

the only formula to succeed with forum link is find do-follow sig. forum and be active and contibute as much as you can... m sure your doubt will be cleared.
