Froogle is not competition to eBay. Froogle simply helps you find the best prices whilke ebay lets you bid on the items.

You can also look through shops in ebay and I think ebay is better (at least for me)

Yes, Froogle is not in direct competition with Ebay. Froogle is simply gathering all sorts of products.

I have info about a client I know, and they receive a few orders from Froogle. It does work, just make sure your website can be spidered successfully so your products can appear.

Ive noticed ~10% of my sales coming thru froogle so it seems like many people are using it.

I know when I'm shopping for something I will search using froogle as well as checking ebay.

thats the way I do it, find a lot of awesome deals, not to mention that froogle will find some ebay listings... its not like taking an extra five minutes to save 50 bucks is a bad thing anyways (thats about how much I save on average by using froogle, or ebay instead of buying retail)

Froogle and ebay are great, but for different reasons:

Frooge is great if you have a product at a competitive price. Users see the price before they decide to click, so it makes a huge difference in your results on froogle.

I have found that ebay seems better when selling niche items, or items that have emotional appeal. Thats when users get into bidding wars, and that is when you can see huge profits.

Also forgot to mention that froogle is also very important because sometimes google puts 1-3 froogle listings before the organic search results from a regular google search if your keywords match closely.

Well, there is no comparison between Froogle and Ebay. Both are great. Ebay is good and you pay for it. Froogle is Free and well the free traffic is just worth the effort of submitting your prod every month. Think about it. Spending 25 minutes a month for all your products listed on Froogle for free for 100 Odd hits and paying 20$ per month to list a bunch of products a month on Ebay... which is worth it!!! I guess its worth a try on froog but frankly, Not much people have started using froog. use froog to get a ranking higher on Google once your prod is listed. You need to learn the tricks to submitting to froog to get a good ranking for individual prods on Froog :)

Is it possible to sell memberships on Froogle? Or, is it just for selling items that are shipped or downloaded?

I would agree with most replies here.

As someone who uses both, we get far more success with eBay.

    Thanks in advance.

For my business, we take advantage from the huge frequent ordering EBay members but the traffic from froogle. Actually, they are not the same kind of media.
