I just noticed i had a pingback to approve with a wordpress blog that i just posted on this evening, for the first time on this particular blog of mine i linked within the post to two older previous posts that i have on that blog. I didn't realise that creates a pingback too, i was looking at first and thought thats weird, i couldn't figure out why the pingback appeared to be from my own blog
lol, its best to always link to at least 1 - 3 other pages and posts on your blog per post. Great for on site SEO
Il try and link to my other posts more often, now that the content is beginning to build up on it. Its actually something ive forgotten to do when posting on my blogs.
Its never too late. You can always go back and edit the posts. I go back and make old posts link to newer posts and vica versa.
You can just use any one of a number of SEO plug ins that link to similar posts at the bottom of the post, or what I do is drop a page menu in the single.php file so that my page menu shows and (links) at the bottom of every post. Some themes have the tag link too, if you post under the same tag, it will show (and link) the top 5 related posts under the same tag.
there is a really simple and effective plugin called no self pings. check it out here: alexybecker.com/2009/04/12/wp-plugins/
Good idea kush86 il go back over my posts and link to others where it makes sense to. Thanks for the suggestion hmansfield. Thanks Rexflay
