A couple friends and I have been running an online website for a little over a year now and since we're starting to make money, we wanted to make it official. The problem is that two of us are American and the other is French, which I'm assuming makes it impossible to incorporate as an LLC in the US? If that's incorrect, are there any special steps to take?

Create an office somewhere in Dubai you guys can cover so much of the business! although you can definately start LLC company with some legal requirements of each partner
I'd probably seek some professional help on this one, as there is probably not a great deal of literature on such situations. If your business has serious potential for growth then it is infinitely preferable to sort these things out early with the proper advice. Good luck.
Setting up LLC is US is not complicated, you just file articles of organization with secretary of state
1-Foreigners can also be owners of an LLC, I don't think that is an issue. 2-You can also choose an offshore jurisdiction to form your company there. On top of my mind I would cite Hong Kong, BVI, Marshall Islands. Cheaper to operate as well.
What i would do is contact a business lawyer and have a consultation regarding your partnership! Bankers don't know all the rules and regulations, they lack the experience, thus a lawyer is your best options for great advise.
