Is Delicious.com back link worth if its nofollow - Debate

Hi,
Doing a bookmark and getting a backlink for delicious is really helpful
I see that they have a nofollow tag in <Ahref> for all the bookmarks made

So does the back link on Delicious worth ? Will it help for PR juice for link development purpose ?

nofollow links are currently under discussion. alot of webmasters reported that they saw a increase in nofollow links in their backlink. so nofollow links might be counting again.

 

I thinks its not really worth for us now, so don't waste your time in delicious

Sorry - I only put links in "doFollow". All my social BM sites have been doFollow and it works for me. If your looking for a burst of traffic - do SU (StumbleUpon). It's a NoFollow - but if you need a burst of traffic (if you have something good on your site), you'll get it.

 

Ok good comment so now we have 2 things
1.) SU or delicious are no follow , so not to be counted for PR juice as a back , to continue debate in thread
2.) Irrespective of PR juice, it can help traffic

So waiting for more opinions now on traffic from delicious and stumbleupon

yeh some nofollow links will pass some value but not from delicious or stumbleupon as there not editorial or trusted links.

Link from wikipedia, bbc, cnn etc.. that are nofollow could possibly have some power but not from social bookmarking sites as even the do follow ones have little value

because pagerank has nothing to do with trust or authority and having a high PR homepage doesnt mean that the other pages will have PR and also doesnt mean your link is more powerful. Some porn sites have Pagerank 5/6, does that make then as good? no, its just a number, measured on incoming links.
Please say that sig link is not you because if you think having the same pagerank means that the links will all count the same then your a mile off

No there not equal
If you add a link to stumble or delicious then that page most likely wont have backlinks and also anyone can add a link and not have it removed
Wikipedia is one of the most trusted sites by Google and they know if a link has been om wikipedia for a while then its a good one.

 

Delicious can send you a LOT of traffic so don't worry whether the links are dofollow or nofollow. BTW, delicious recently made some changes to this. If multiple people bookmark a page with same/similar tags, the tags page will have a dofollow link.

 

Delicious is useless seo-wise for Google but could help in Yahoo and other search engines.
In my opinion social bookmarking sites are not intended for link building purposes.
Submit quality stories instead and you will get a lot of traffic from Delicous.

 

Delicious is just waste of time and energy

 

Sites like Delicious will give you traffic. Traffic converts to natural links. Natural links from related sites give you the best SEO benefits. I wouldn't ignore social networking sites just because they don't give direct SEO value...because it's often the indirect SEO value that matters.

 

Delicious is good for traffic, works for long term. But for backlinks its not a choice. And another question comes up: If u don't get traffic then what will u do having strong backlinks?

 

Hey this is very very interesting, if multiple people bookmarks a page then tags pages will have dofollow, then anyone can misuse it meaning hire people on forums or somewhere and ask them to bookmark multiple times on delicious , Very interesting

You can delete bookmarks on delicious then links are removed, Why not

FOLLOW MEANS YOU FOLLOW SOMEBODY

NO FOLLOW MEANS YOU DONT

Anyways no follows links are not counted for PR calculation as back links while only flow links are counted in the calculation

 

it is worth using occassionally - but not every day...
