So I am considering releasing a new product on clickbank and this relates to my post (found in my sig) regarding protecting vendor delivery pages. This product would provide the scripts, detailed instructions and video tutorials on protecting your delivery page and your download link. So this would incorporate my delivery page protection thread but would also add download protection so someone could not just post a direct link to your product (bypassing the delivery page). Protection like this is available with dlguard and a few other products however unlike offering a huge package with other programs you are not using for a high price (theirs is $127 ), mine would only deal with clickbank and be significantly cheaper (less than $50) and I would offer email support (and maybe even install it for you if you were really having trouble). So all you vendors (and potential vendors) out there, is this something you would buy and is this a fair price point considering you would not loose money from stealing through direct linking and this is offered cheaper than other products and you can use it on as many of your products as you want? Also, I would offer it to dp users at a discount (prescreened and having some requirements) for maybe $25 since i have learned so much here and found (most of ) the community very helpful. Please let me know what you think, I would really appreciate it. Thanks! Dave edit: oh, and the download protection would allow the buyer a limited number of times to download (say 2 in case they have a connection problem) and/or the link would expire in a set number of hours whichever comes first.
Most affiliate will pay half of $127 by using their affiliate link. Personally I wouldn't buy your product because I am confident with installing scripts but maybe someone who isn't confident would buy it. Although I'd have thought that non-techy people would prefer to buy the script and buy the installation service together. Rather than learn it from videos. Just my 2 cents.
You are right about paying less, though vendors who bought mine with their link would also pay half I think offering full installation service is a good idea, something to think about. Thanks for the feedback.
I personally wouldnt buy it because you can find the info how to do it for free. But thats just me, there are many people out there who are too lazy to type 3 words into google and they buy the info instead. A good example is the Xbox 360 repair guides. The guides teach a method which can be found on google in 10 seconds for free... yet they enjoy HUGE success.
I'd buy it if it were very simple and didn't take much work for me to install/configure. I don't want to install a huge script with a database and have to spend ages setting it all up. The simpler the better. It should also be able to handle PHP download pages (since I have various bits of code in mine). Oh, and I'd need to know how it works too, so I can see that it really is going to provide full protection.
