A niche that you are interested in, I suggest blogging, pick something you are interested in, blogging has a huge income if you invest time in your blog.

Nobody is going to give you a good answer to the question posed in your title... you have to figure this out for yourself :) There are an infinite amount of great niches out there, just get busy!

IMO ppls afraid to start new bussiness at virgin market because it's risk. They rather to use something what is well known and checked BUT it always means that's saturated and from the start you need to fight on many fronts with a lot of various competition. I'm making bussiness in virgin niches and in well known - there's earn from both however it's easier with those first.

Have to agree with most of the comments here kind of pointless to ask ppl where they're making money, if its a new niche they'll never tell you.

You can actually make good money with any Niche, all that is needed, is Traffic. Anyway, here is a list of high paying keywords but I am not sure how accurate this data is:

TRUE. People need EVERYTHING, everybody is looking for something. Shortly we can say they need MLH: Money - Love - Hobbies. They're searching in network for: work, possibility to make moneys, partnership, find friends or lovers, stuff connected to they hobbies (included making shoppings online). No matter what you'll choice you'll surely find your customers. Just give them what they want/need.

The fact that you are network user doesn't mean that you have to make any money online. Most of network users use network just to communicate and read some information - nothing more. If someone want to make money from them he need to work here - you won't earn from sitting at front of your monitor :)

IMO the "make money online - Work At Home" niche is generally a waste of effort. It is a thoroughly saturated market, and only the long-time heavy-hitters can succeed at it, such as Rasmussen with his list of 100,000 hungry buyers. Maybe I'm wrong, but at a time when it seems NOBODY is spending money on anything, making a good income online is more difficult than ever. Only specialized niches and micro-niches are worth pursuing nowadays.

No such thing as "Easy money" online. It all takes work, and dedication. If you chose a niche based on what you think it pays, you will more than likely fail, especially if this is your firt time out....there is a huge learning curve.

Any niche can be lucrative if you do it right, just like any other business. If you start with something that you know first, you will have a better shot at success, because you will know more about the industry.

If it were easy, wouldn't more people be sitting comfortably making a living online ?
Obviously it's not easy, no matter how high paying the niche.

I always look at what's buzzing on the Internet and then use Google Free adwords tool to explore a niche and find something worth targeting. Have you had a look at the thirty day challenge? there is some good info about the niche selection process there

No competitions means that you'll be monopolist in your niche so if your niche will be profitable you'll earn very well from it. I know there are still profitable niches which aren't in use already or they are in very small use.

I also figured the MMO market would be hot in a down economy, but I got good advice from Google when I bought AdWords -- They have an auto-message come up that essentially says "You have chosen a brutally saturated market. Try something else, stupid." ...or words to that effect...

My AdWords didn't do any good, so of course Google was right as usual...
