I'm planing to translate one of my sites in to french. In french section I'm planing to use Amazon.fr. I have few questions, hope you guys can answer .. 01) If i use only one amazon account under amazon.com and if someone comes to french section and buy something from amazon.fr still I you get commissions ? 02) If not can I ask my friend in france to make an amazon acount through amazon.fr and use along with mine ? ( she is co owner of site )
If I use only one account and if someone goto amazon.com through my link but later(same day) use amazon.fr to buy something still I would get commission ?
You have to create one account for every country. Whether you get commission or not depends on the tracking ID. If the person buys from the French tracking ID, you get commission from amazon.fr. If the person buys from the US tracking ID, you get commission from amazon.com. In short, the commission is linked to the tracking ID. ---- By the way, I have accounts in all countries except China. These non-US accounts contribute to 30-40% of my total commissions, using the same content.
You means if my account is at amazon.com so someone click though my link but close it and later buy the same thing from amazon.fr I wouldn't get the commission for it ? I mean this 24 hour cookie goes only for amazon.com ? Sorry, I'm a newbie for this.
Yes the cookie your visitor gets from Amazon.com only gets you a commission if that visitor buys from Amazon.com. If you want to make commissions from Amazon.fr, you'll have to sign up for an account there. The same goes for Amazon.de, Amazon.ca, etc. Think of these different Amazon sites as completely different aff. programs. And don't be sorry, you have the right to ask a question.
