Just curious my 2 month old site (www.GameFrat.com) is now a PR5. But I did work for it 2 weeks straight nothing but link exchanges with fellow DP members and other sites.

Just curious from 1-10 how hard is it to get a PR5?

I don't think it's that hard.. there are some legit places you can post a link that are pr6, do just a few of those and you have it. OTOH, it's better what you did, you now have a much more stable pr5 with lots of backlinks probably.

It's not all that hard. If you do link exchanges with high PR sites you can very easily get a PR 5 within a very short period of time.

Ok now the ultimate question, is it hard to increase from the 5 on the next PR update. Now I think this may be a challenge?

I my experience getting PR4 and PR5 seem to be easy and can be done in a fairly short period of time. Higher than that I think it starts to become more of a challenge.

I was working hard and I only got PR3! I don't think it's that easy... and I was doing a lot of link building.

Yep, that's the first thing I do. Make the site design, add content, and do link exchanges.

    I voted 5, I though everybody would vote 5;)

With the way Google hands out PR lately it should be easy to get PR8, but only on a new site.

Sebastya, is this only a congratulating thread? You could have just posted something on topic in the thread too.

On topic: I think its fairly easy to attain a 5 PR or even a 6 PR, requires a week worth of right-on working and link building, and any site can achieve a good PR. So yeah

By the way, Congrats on PR5

My apologies: PR5 is not hard to gain, but to keep it there would be the challenge I think.

It is not that hard I think, the problem is getting to PR6 and better.
I have been trying for a year now to get one PR5 site to PR6.
