Google is reportedly in "late stage negotiations" to buy social networking site Twitter in a deal valued at $250 million (£170 million). Not sure if it's a good deal at that price? *Sorry about that forgot the link* Google Buying Twitter
hmmm, twitter is reportedly asking for 1b four times the value of its private equity shares http://www.nbr.co.nz/article/google-beats-profit-expectations-talks-twitter-101276
Will Google but Twitter? Some say yes, some say no. Here are the opinions - http://news.google.com/news?pz=1&ned=us&hl=en&q=google+buy+twitter
This news emerged late last week or early this week but has been largely denied by both sides. It seems that a potential partnership is closer to the truth. Twitter is also apparently talking to Microsoft. I'm not posting a link because a simple search returns dozens of results.
How popular is Twitter? Ive heard so much about it over the past few months. Whats all the hype about?
Thats like two cents in Google's multi billion dollar balance sheet. Twitter is on fire and they are buying them at the peak, its a good buy for Google.
I agree that this seems to be a good buy for Google. I personally would have rather seen Yahoo or Microsoft make a play at Twitter...
Hello... In "talks"... and just a "bid" if it where "true", and even then its to add advertising not "own". This is where MSN should butt in and cough up double the bid again to keep google from becoming "The Internet"... Regardless of whom claims the prize , Good luck to both sides laterz malcolm
