Hi, Here I want to discuss something serious. This is regarding misconception among DP members related to other members and their product. For example, If I want to sell a product here that you have never heard about or something like that and If I claim that this is too good then what you will think first of all? You will think that I am a liar. Am I right? WHY? Is it not possible that anyone which is available on DP for selling its product is a genuine person. Why you always see a seller suspiciously? Why you do not believe on the seller and its product? Why you can not assume that a better product and the seller can also be available on DP forum? Why you conscience always say that you are going to be cheated? This misconception as well as the perception has ruined so many sellers and their goodwill too in the past. YES! Ofcourse I admit that there are some of the dishonest sellers also active here. But what is about the sellers selling genuine product? At the end, I would like to say here that only the iTraders are not everything. If a person is new and want to sell something then he also may be genuine and the person with high iTraders may also be dishonest at any time. I request each and every buyer here to take the seller and its product as a fresh one in every new thread in which he is selling something. You should not have any misconception in advance in your mind. What do you think about?
I would say it is a Lemons problem. That's why it takes all of us to cooperate and weed out all the spammers and I trader cheaters.
No, I am not suspicious about everyone, but this is the trend that I have seen in the last few weeks here on DP.
I hope you are kidding ? Let's see .. Example - "How to earn 2000$ per week - no BS". Now tell me, why I should believe ? Why the hell someone should sell a method for 5$ if he can earn 100x more ? There are no misconceptions - that's just about that .. peoples are selling "be a millionaire" stuff and you want us to believe ? ** Don't take it personally - I'm quoting the whole idea, not only yours
I agree sure! But what about the threads selling services like submission to directories, article rewriting services, website building services, link building etc.
Actually, I've never seen any "suspicious" services ( from the view of a customer ) Any examples ( link to the thread ) ?
No, I am just talking about the threads in which a seller is selling something either a product or a service.
I've never had a problem selling products or services here, even when I was new. It's the seller's responsibility to develop trust within their target market with a carefully crafted marketing message. If they think you're a scammer, either you are one or you're just a crappy marketer. Rethink your message and how you're presenting it before assuming the problem is with buyers. If anything you should thank them for their negative comments if and when that happens, because it's easy market research, allowing you to improve next time (such as by not over-hyping something with sales-speak).
But there are so many other buyers which are disloyal, I was selling an ebook here, it was a great one and was selling like hotcake, but one buyer opened a dispute after downloading the ebook and got the funds back from paypal. What will you say about that kind of buyers?
Maybe they just didn't think your e-book was a "great one" after all. Maybe they didn't feel is really lived up to the hype. The fact that you think it's terrific doesn't mean every buyer will. Are there occasionally cheapskates who do that? Sure. But don't make assumptions. You're better off asking them what they didn't like so you can improve.
I am always ready for the improvements, If they do not like my ebook then they might have asked for a refund, but they did not do that. They just named the transaction as an 'unauthorised' one and paypal (the rubbish) reversed the payment. Huh !!!
Or maybe it really was an unauthorized transaction. It does happen - people get a hold of others' accounts. You can't rely on every person being honest. In the end, they didn't like the product enough to pay for it, and that tells you something. Live and learn.
