furl will be shutting down April 17th

    I just noticed at furl will be shutting down on the 17th. It states you must transfer data to diigo.com. Does anyone know if this is permament.

    This is what the Furl homepage says. Since april 1st has already passed, it cant be an april fools joke. So I guess its true. Furl is shutting down.

    I heard awhile back that they are shutting down because they just could not find a way to be profitable. I think monetizing a social bookmark website especially a secondary one would be pretty tough.

    that is so rediculous. Why do they tell me to join and then tell me to move ALL of my stuff elsewhere.? these guys are total nuts!

    yes . furl is shutting down i have 80 links in furl :(

    they are saying to transfer bookmark to Diigo but diggo is no follow .. and furl is do follow :(

    That's annoying. They should redirect the users to the new site / registration page if they want them to transfer.
