I bought this domain less then one month ago (28-Mar-2009) and it's already a page rank of 2 (Brandon Sheley) I would tell you how I did it, but I would have to kill ya
If you get a PR7+ backlink you'll jump to 3 or so within 2 weeks usually (text-links-ads.com is a good source to find them). But unless you keep that backlink you'll lose your PR shortly after.
Hi All, Maybe of the topic here but.. If someone is on the first page of google all the way on the top in organic for the keywords that they want to be...and page rank is 2..why does page rank matter then to the owner of the website? If the owner is getting business like that anyway..Why is it important to have a higher opage rank if you are already on the top of google?
I am surprise, no one answer him. You can't have PR in one month. You can have when google update PR. Recently google update PR, now Google update in 3 month or may be 4 months. No one know. But before update, build Back links.
Does PR mean anything much these days? My PR3 SEO site ranks top 5 for "seo" out of 245,000,000 results while a client's PR5 subdomain ranks #1 for "property" out of 620,000,000 for Google country search.
First of all PR has little value anymore. It is a relic of the past and now days is only a reflection of how many backlinks and the PR of said backlinks. The PR of a site have VERY little if any weight in the SERPs now. So what good is it? I find it to be rather useless. WEBSEA, You could not be farther from the truth on that statement. The amount of competition in a market has absolutely no effect on PR. The only possible effect competition could have is a positive one and that is only because there would be more sources for possible subject related backlinks that are weighted heavy in PR.

Yes you are right. there is no necessary that if your site is indexed on first page of google then your PR is also good. because google index depends upon keyword, content, some on page issues and traffic on site.
Page rank is only updated when google updates it. Which is only 3 or 4 times a year. In the case of Loco.M and his Brandon site, he got the links in just before the last update - which was in the first part of April. There is no "quick" way to build up your page rank. You could get 10,000 backlinks in one month, but your PR is only going to go up when google updates it. If you started this month, its unlikely that PR is going to be updated for another 3 - 4 months. Because the next page rank update will probably be around July or August.
