No Follow is now way considered in backlink because that link is not index by google but yahoo and msn consider this links also

    In Google's own words:

From now on, when Google sees the attribute (rel="nofollow") on hyperlinks, those links won't get any credit when we rank websites in our search results. This isn't a negative vote for the site where the comment was posted; it's just a way to make sure that spammers get no benefit from abusing public areas like blog comments, trackbacks, and referrer lists.

This is very frustrating. It looks like everybody knows how to do it but me.
How no follow links will give you traffic.
I'm so dumb that I need a step by step instructions.

    Thanks guys for your answers.

I disagree with some of comments, just because Google claims that they do not pass on any pagerank and that the backlink will not count but I have seen this to be a little suspect at times. I certainly have had links that were counted when there was supposedly a no-follow link involved.

My advice would be to test it out and also do a little research on whether that site is getting traffic because then it is definitely worth at least getting your link on!

Yahoo obeys the nofollow thing and does not count them for SERPs.

yeh they are considered as backlinks but not as powerful as do follow links. In my webmaster tool I have several Flickr links which are all no follow but help my ranking quite a lot.

For Google no-follow links will not be considered as backlinks but this doesnt mean that they should be ignored, they are still a good for generating traffic to your site. Consider Yahoo Answers for example, though it provides no-follow links, but you can get a good amount of traffic from it.

And Google is not the only search engine, Yahoo and MSN are do consider the no-follow links as well for backlinks. So you still gain from them.

If you check the links to your sites using the Google webmaster tools, you'll see that Google does count some no-follows as backlinks. The important thing is get links from many different sources. At seomoz they call it link diversity.
