Oh! Look at the PM I just received. :)

I have all the proof in the world to prove that me and FruitBat are two different people. I have indeed received payment. If you think I am "incredibly lame", you can feel free to ask the SP staff to do an IP check. You're only going to prove yourself wrong. :)

I believe it would be wise to atleast think before you speak. ;)

and Sitepoint staff would say that they can't confirm or deny any association between those two member accounts.

Impressive intelligency you have Neil. However, he's done a good work. The buyer would check before buying. But it's also possible that the buyer would believe Neil on his word. In this case, he believe. It's business so you don't have any rights of acusing Neil. The buyer must check before buying.

Sometimes we can't protect buyers from their own stupidity.

"If" the buyer is real they are probably realizing at this very moment what they paid $2500 for ;)

Gotta agree with that. I think he added enough to the auction listing to make it honest. The buyer can't really complain, as it did include a statement about the paid posting. Anyway, it's not for us to judge now, it's entirely likely that the buyer understand everything and will make a success out of the site. I just will wish the buyer the best of luck with it, and congrats to Neil on the flip.

Trust me, noone is stupid to throw around $2500 like that, unless you're as rich as Bill Gates for example, something like $2500 would be like pocket change to you. That's not the case for FruitBat (Joe), he's got a job, in the IT field I believe, and he works hard for his money. He has moved everything to his own server now, domain has been pushed and everything and he seems to be an Xbox player himself. If it interests him and he's prepared to spend that much, then I don't see what would hold him back. There is no reason to want to throw around $2500 like that considering the fact that he has read this entire thread and he is fully aware of everything.

I wouldn't go as low as calling it stupidity on his behalf, maybe he has a genuine interest in Xbox gaming? You never know..

Anyways, it's sold and that's that.

$2,500 for 5,000 xbox-related posts is good payout.

New owner will need spend a lot more money to bring traffic, since most of visitors were from either Sitepoint or DigitalPoint plus a few paid posters.

Congratulations to you, sweet deal for the seller
