I in the past had signed up with Lenohost and purchased a VPS to use as a backup database server. Later then they sent out emails saying that they sold the server and clients to another company. This company has just now disappeared with not sending out any warnings so that a backup could be made. It appears that the domain is now up for sale and the Owner can not be found. I am not sure if they are in any affiliation with Leno host but I find it very weird for Leno Host to just sell a server and clients when they still offer the exact same services. The company that disappeared was called Host Chum and it would be nice to know if anyone knows if they were really the same company because I don't see any reason to tell me otherwise. Anyways the moral of the story is they took the money and ran!
Are you talking about "http://www.lenohost.com/" ? They seem to be up Well you can contact the owner, if its the same company i mentioned above, using details found here: http://whois.domaintools.com/lenohost.com BTW, They seem to own servers at "The Planet", you can notify the DC about such scammers !. Regards, JatSim
i know this because i have known danny for a long time now and he had bought a vps from them before....so if he was affiliated he wudnt have really needed to have bought from them at full price... also as danny owns lenohost he wud have no need to work for hostchum aswell...... Danny (a.k.a lenohost) has no affiliation with hostchum
Hello, My name is Danny, and I'm the company director of Lenohost Networks (lenohost.com). I would just like to confirm that we are not affiliated in anyway with HostChum. All our services are online, we have our servers at ThePlanet, PacificRack, and BurstNET - Whereas HostChum hosted their services at LimeStoneNetworks. If you would like more clarification, please email me at I can offer some discount for clients that have been left in the dark by HostChum, also contact me personally on the above email. I would also like to note that the owner of HostChum is currently operating under the name of VPSWiz (vpswiz.com) Thanks for your understanding.
If you are not in any affiliation with them, why did you guys sell a server with all the clients to them? This just makes no sence, I have never heard of any other company in the world selling there clients when your clients are your source of income. SO what makes you think I am going to sign back up with you guys seeing as how you have already shipped me off once and I have been burned.
another hosting scammer? remember me who you scammed out of proxy hosting!. Yes why is my itrader still unopened by you? HMM answer that!
When the clients were sold, we were looking to pull out of the VPS market altogether. However, with a lot of staff meeting and a revision of our business plan, we decided it would be better to keep our VPS plans. The existing VPS clients were already sold though, so we couldn't keep them. So far, we have a few VPS nodes now with a lot of happy customers - Which we are keeping.
The Scammers Contact Emails : I did contact each of them and everyone say I don't have hand giving me another 2 emails to contact ! They are Scammers !
We used to offer Shared, Reseller, SHOUTcast & VPS all at the same time. We've narrowed our services down to VPS at the moment, we will be offering dedicated servers once we first colocation that we like, and we will ship the servers/switches/firewalls/routers and everything off to the datacenter. We still have the Shared and Reseller packages online for the previous customers we had, the few SHOUTcast customers didn't renew. We don't only provide VPS at the moment, we're always offering Remote Desktop Accounts that have been advertised in the forum here. We can only wish that business was that easy.
What i mean is that no company with managers, owned servers, staff etc would just "sell" of their clients and then start back up the day after. This smell kids and boysroom since day 1.
I've already stated the reason for this in a post above. I can assure you that we are not a 'kiddie-host', we've been in business for 1 year and 3 months. I'm 19, and work as a IT Technician, while running Lenohost on top of that - I'm currently working 15 hours a day running Lenohost, that leaves 9 hours for sleep and my own personal time - That's dedication to the business.
None the less, the way you act on behalf of the none-registered company is def. prooving that your not capeable of running this "hobby" that you run.
