Iam a terrible newbie. I have never owned a real website before. I have written alot of articles and Iam looking for a good CMS. I know about Joomla, Drupal, Geeklog etc but I want to know which CMS is the best. By the best I mean, it is: articles are automatically optimized for search engines the creators of CMS provide good support it has easy to add modules it can work well or be intergrated with vbulletin it can handle alot ot traffic Can anyone give me any sound suggestions? thanks
You can demo lots of different cms here: http://www.opensourcecms.com/ All have good points and weak points depending on what you are trying to do... I'd take a good look at joomla and drupal, those are the two that seem to get recommended the most.
Anybody else? What Iam looking for is CMS that can intergrate well with Vbulletin. i dont like GARS. i know everybody says Joomla but why?
No Joomla...KOOBI is better. I try to setup Joomla with ijoomla magazine module...and after 1hour oh "hacking" I get nothing special. News module in KOOBI is superb..all do automatic Koobi have nice forum, Joomla must integrate forum...and so on... Just see and try both..and you will see I dont know why is joomla so nice? I try more thing to do with it...but notnihg good...you must go in 100 places to do something...very funny And best CMS is custom cms if you wonas to do some pro things. How I know that about cms. So I try about few monts to find some CMS to get news portal and test many many cms: Joomla, e107, drupal, ABO, phpNuke, postNuke, ExpressionEngine, WordPress, TextPattern....and many more but no one can get nice and easy and efective. I wona get site with look like 24sata.hr or index.hr or bullzeye.com or savvy.com...but nothing only I succes with KOOBI to do something similar...But I know now taht all things that have some realy value on the web is Custom coded scripts
I agree with you. Wordpress is probably the best CMS out there and google just loves wordpress blogs. Drupal isn't also a bad choice if you want a website, not blog, look.
