Nofllow attribute .... Google has made it clear by adding the nofollow attribute to links in a blog or website will help that site stay in good hands ... now my question is what about links inside a forum post?? does that rule apply??/ meaning how would you turn links in forum post nofollow??? I have a Massage forum Ive added nofollow links only in the news letters ... but in the postings the links are do follow is this okay or not .... any help lol
Well, No-follow attribute has no value in Google at all,.... but Yahoo and other search accept no-follow so its not that bad if you are targeting yahoo. For Google always choose a do-follow attribute.
I would not recommend consider links from the forums as the part of the SEO. They are temporary ones and that will never make the SEO stronger
correct me if I was right" lol I know Google is a link spam freak... the more nofollow for Google is better .... thats white hat from Mat Cutz lol
I would say you could put people off from posting. I learn masses from forums and enjoy posting in them - but forums that don't allow me a dofollow link are ones I don't waste my time on. Personally, I feel cheated when I realise something is nofollow. This DP forum is dofollow and has a pr of 6 - so dofollows in forums can't be so bad.
Nofollow is not working against you but not helping you as well So why will you spend time on forums with no follow Just say why is DP so much crowded with traffic ? Answer to this question will solve your doubt
at the same time .. why doest Google prefer links off of a nofollow out source?? actually my forum here KauaiMassages.com/forum is this a no follow forum or do follow how can anyone tell?? is it in the code view?? thanks lol
Signature links on your forum are do follow. I use this firefox add-on: http://tools.seobook.com/firefox/seo-for-firefox.html It tells you a lot more besides dofollow/nofollow links.
Links in most forums are dofollow. In blog commenting, I'm not too concerned whether the blog accepts nofollow or dofollow comments for both links generate traffic to my site.
I see your going on that theory ... although you will be heavily penalized from Google for doing that... thats why I imposed the question to DP .... your dark blog link will spam Google even though you think its doing fine .... traffic only goes to blogs with nofollow in them ... thats the facts ... so for any one here thinking they can spam a blog by posting mass links ... oh boy read mat cutz blog he tells you cat and dry never do that ........ thats white hat unless your a pro BLACK hatter stay white lol
Rel=nofollow is a Google born attribute. It doesn't mean no follow the same way nofollow means in robots.txt. Google still follows the links but doesn't give the link any juice or pr. Rel=nofollow is good for links on your site such as affiliate links or links that you do not trust or personally endorse.
microtekblue I agrre with this from you ... but the nofollow is by all means a dofollow that bloggers need to use like links rather then what they do .....
