No true. I have a site that launched in June that is now a PR5. You don't have to wait any time at all. PR is dynamic. Visible PR, on the other hand, must wait about 4-5 months till the next PR update.

This is so weird... I have two sites aged two months each and both of those sites got PR3... The sites are NOT even listed on Google yet

How can this be possible - PR3 but not in the index?

You are not alone, my site is still a pr3. I think, for the most part, this update fixed prior pr inflations and increased pr0 sites. There are exceptions to this, but that seems to be the general consensus. It definately stinks.

Was it there before in the index and is just missing today?

I have had websites dissapear in the index for 2 days and come back with a higher ranking. Something like an update issue i think.

It has been a weird update for me so far. Sites I have been working on hard have shown no gains yet, while http://www.soarticles.com which I just bought and has like one measly low pr backling, went from 0 to 2 in pagerank when I was expecting no gain for that site on that update. My other sites are stable. Is this the end of the update or do you guys think there will be more updates in the next few days?

Perhaps your pagerank simply hasn't changed?

No update on my older websites with previous pagerank.

My guess it's a correction update + new sites get pagerank.

Another shady update as some of my newer sites got homepage PR but no inner PR.

I know it changed it should be pr6 by now. And even if google screwed up PR5, I know its supposed to have changed.

Location will always effect updating of PR due to the system being a distributed environment changes in California do not occur at the same time in New York nor Paris nor Bejing.

Home page and one sub-domain currently hold PR3 all other pages are now blanked out including another sub-domain...which I thought was odd since the other sub is matched at 3 with the home page..

One newer client went from 0 to 3 so far.

Spain has had and finished its update and now is the time for me to knock it on the head.

4 of my sites have gone up in PR but 6 down in PR which are of excllent quality and in terms of "human" viewing are more interesting and more informative. So all these update with s**t results has now made me come to the end of my days of SEO.

Good luck to all you SEOs, for me it is back to design and more time to my self.

I dont think Google realises how damaging a poor update can be to big companies out there and even small companies that produce their income solely from the net.

But there you go, Google is too big for all of us and they have now predicted the future of many companies on the net.

I agree with everyone who is saying it is just a "fix" update. Because, thats what it seems to be. All my pages that got to pr 5 and 6 are now pr 3. (sucks). My homepage has not changed, it had not changed in the last update. Well, my pr is supposed to be 4 or 5....but, just another screwy update from google :D
