    Hello friends,

I have applied filter to one of my websites to exclude the count of traffic from my own IP. But it is not working correctly. If i am going to my website via search engine, my visit is included in the total traffic. How to get rid of this problem?

    Thanks
    Shailendra

    Hi Shailendra,

Google Analytics works on Javascript tag technology.

So irrespective of whereever you go to your site, the javascript tag will still be fired.

However if you have used filter to exclude your traffic , it will certainly exclude your visit.

    Try this.

Type very awkward keyword that no one would try to come to your website and check that data.

Also if you still think its an issue.

Try creating new profile and include only data coming from your ip, and you will see data would be there separated out.

The filters that you apply on google analytics works on backend of GA and not on client side.

Let me know if it helps !

    Thanks,
    Ravi

    Hello Ravi,

I have already tried it with a very long tail keyphrase and verified that the filter isn't working. will try creating new profile for it
