when you finish you might want to have your site analytic report
install Google analytic you will learn alot

Maybe you need to rework on your google ads positioning. I see you have google ad links on your side bar. Please be aware that text link ads needs 2 clicks to get paid.You are actually inviting your potential users to leave your site and you may and may not be paid for it.

I second this one. Also, I've had the best success with ads on the upper left side of the page. But the site layout is clean which is good. You pretty much have to use the KISS theory with web visitors today or they'll get confused and not know where to click and then they'll go crazy, lol

I really like the layout. The site is simple yet clean. Maybe the logo could be improved a little, but that aside it's good to go

 

The layout is good. I agree that the banner could be improved a little bit, and I also think that the header bars for the categories on the right could be darkened just a little bit. This way it doesn't look all the same if someone was to quickly fly by it. I really like the top bar though. I'm confused as to why there is a search bar in it, then a Google search bar directly below.

Overall it's good.

 

Try some good color for your side navigation...

I like it...some of the info is available elsewhere...to differentiate your blog is to have your editorial "voice" more front and center....
