Hello! I just want to ask what's the pricing of advertisements today in a website? A certain wants to advertise in my website by putting banner and I have no idea how will I price them. That company is looking for a long term advertisement in website. I'm getting 10,000 - 30, 000 visitors a day. It's a sports website. Any idea guys? I know this is hard but can someone pls. give atleast an estimate.

    Thanks in advance!

Guys what do you mean by according to the companies advertiser? Sorry I'm new to this. You mean they are the who will set the price? I'm confused.

It depend on what kind of advertising their looking for, Pay Per Click or Pay Per Impression. If they're looking for PPI , you certainly can make some money with your high traffic. I'm not sure what's the rate for PPI, please research it. PPC is a way advertiser will be looking if they want click through or targeted traffic only, you can be charging from $0.01 to any per click, all depend on how your Click Through Rate perform. Try browsing on the buy&sell advertising section to see what are people charging nowadays..

When they e-mail me they just said that they will put a banner on my website and they didn't specify what kind of advertising they want, they ask me directly what is the monthly flat rate.. Right now I'm still waiting for their reply.

    Thanks rksy!

A banner will convert about 1%.

1% of 20,000 is 200 clicks to them. If their product or service is over $100 you could probably charge them $400 a month, otherwise pay about $1 per click at $200

10k to 30k daily visits? Wow that's big variance. Not sure how that's happening.

I run a gambling site and get 100 UVs/day. I charge $60/month for a sitewide header banner. But because sport isn't as lucrative, I would imagine you'd easily get over $1k/month for this sort of ad. I'm sorry but 10k-30k UVs is just rediculous, definitely worth a lot of money.

p.s I have no idea how someone can work their site up to 10k-30k UVs/day and not know their pricing. I know mine at 100/day and there's no way I wouldn't know as my site got bigger. I'd love to know the domain.
