you get what you pay for dude.. try getting a rack on media temple if your ready to beef up your game
I have used different hosts, including hostgator and I find hostgator the best one. If you think that your site are performing slow, then you can consider buying dedicated server? I think if you move to another host where they offer cheap services, then you may not get quality service. I made a mistake of moving to a cheap hosting that offered everything as unlimited, but there actually was lot of problems and I then had to move to hostgator.
If you want to go with a VPS then check out tektonic.net. They are a pretty good host. For $25 a month you can get one of their VPS, just ask them for the 2mbps unemetered, it isnt listed on their site but they have it. If you dont need a VPS then go with Jaguarpc.com . You can get a reseller for $20 a month and not deal with any BS.
$20 VPS is not that good. If you want a web hosting for high traffic site and your budget is $20/month, then I think you should go for MediaTemple.
An option is to utilize a CDN (Content Distribution Network) to distribute your static content. While this isn't the cheapest way to go, it will deliver content quickly since data is served from the nearest server. For example, we use CDN to distribute our software downloads. Therefor, when an Australian downloads our software, the file would be delivered from a server in Australia instead of from Texas (USA). This reduces load on our primary server and, more importantly, gets the file to the user fast. As for a site as a whole slowing down, it may not be the hosting that is the issue, but the script you are using. In my experience, many issues of "slow response" sites are due to inefficient scripts. I would suggest checking that first as I suspect that moving would only be a band-aid to a larger issue. From what I have heard, HostGator is a pretty good provider. They have their quirks, but every shared-hosting provider will. Bing
i just ask then and they said they dont transfer the website on faster server even we upgrade our package
One word of advice I can say is never upgrade unless you really need to I got a server and right after ordering it found that I don't need it now I'm trying to down grade.
I use godaddy domains and hosting.....everyone else is trying to make a dime off you...I am not...I am not selling godaddy....they are ranked numer #1

so far in my 11 years of experience with at least 6 web hosts - Hostgator is the best Others are bloody waste of time when you outgrow shared, just go vps with a top notch company and then dedi. Looking for better than hostgator is waste of time
