Given the sets: A = {5, 10, 15, 20, 25}, B = {3, 6, 9, 12, 15} http://www.omegamath.com/scripts/elementary/Etest/image5818.gif First off what is this upside down U, and how do i find the answer lol. i have 4 options to answer from here they are. A. { } B. {3 ,5, 6, 9, 10, 12, 25} C. {3, 5, 6 ,9, 10, 12, 15, 25} D. {15} Anyone know what the answer is :-P because me
Never heard of Set Theory?? Upside down U LMAO..... The Upside Down U is called Intersection that means- x is an element of A ∩ B if and only if * x is an element of A and * x is an element of B. If given the sets are A = {5, 10, 15, 20, 25}, B = {3, 6, 9, 12, 15} the Answer would be A ∩ B = {15} Option D
haha... to tell you the truth... im reall confuse with U and ∩... haha... if im not mistaken the symbols above are the universal sign (or something) and the intersection sign...
