I posted a project in GAF last couple of weeks. The target is supposed to be 10 days. 9 days has passed and he did never provided me any report... All excuses and he asked for 5 days extension.. I was in stretch and I told him to cancel the escrow.. I am in total messed and sent him a very negative feedback..

Now he is asking to remove the feedback...

Do you think he deserve it?

I lost a very good client because of him.... He is a gold member..

you should have dumped him early on if you sensed he was becoming unstable.
and pick someone else, if you were on a timetable.

all bidders are quick to kissass, just so you can pick them.
After that, they may be slower or whatever.

My negative feedback to him seems a big deal.. He don't stop begging me to remove that feedback... and finally he answered saying I am fraud because I pay low.. LOL.. who told him to bid low???

Many freelancers sucks so you friends be careful... most of them are greed... they are piling the jobs but cannot do in time... He received 2 negative feedback this month all for same reason... not completing the project...

Yes,you did the right thing by leave him a negative feedback to help future client to practice extra caution when dealing with him.
By the way,you can give him a deal, let say,if he can do the job free for you, then you change the negative to positive feedback.

LOL I think it's black mail... I told him that I am going to remove the negative feedback after he received 3 more positive.. this is to make sure he is not sucking his future customers...

I wouldn't remove the negative feedback... Everyone should see that he is not to be trusted...

A negative feedback is like a warning sign! Watch out! Danger Ahead....

You said that you lost a customer for his delay! He doesn't deserve that you remove the negative feedback!

he deserved the negative feedback... don't remove it no matter what.

If you haven't get your escrow money back, just contact gaf admin and explain the situation.. I'm sure they understand and that's why gaf has escrow feature.

Actually, what mentos said is quite a good idea.

He did wrong, so he deserve a bad rating. Now, you can tell him that, if he do a extra and small job for you, and if this time, the job is done perfectly in time, only then you will remove the bad rating. I think this is not black mail, it is just favor for you to remove his bad rating :)

Sometime it happens mah friend, that's why i any freelancer is not good for better service selection. It would be the wise decision to pay lil bit more money to agency rather than providing work at cheap rates to any freelancers. He possibly scammed you, he deserves the -ve feedback because in future other may not get cheated from his service. BTW, its so sad that you lost a potential client. Do try to convince your client that will be a single most option for you... good luck.

when this thing happen you can call the gaf admin, using bad rate is good but that is not important, outside Gaf what you are not try Rentacoder I think more people has more fair rate here, since the "gold status here' IS NOT FOR SALE

I have same bad expirience and I hate Indian GAF freelancers!!!
Explained dozens of time what should be done, and 'freelancer' seems don't know English and ruin all my project. I lost my money and I'm very disappointed. He provide me report with his 'work' - all links and so on were broken, send the list back to him, and this sucker just repeated in bad english-"no problemo, evrithing is alrait". I said - man, open these URL and see for yourself, he answered again "no problem" and that's it.
I was so pissed so broke my keyboard in anger.... Never, ever again will use such a freelancers!

Thats a good negotiation because if he is working on it to improve he deserves a chance, but then you did right by first putting the feedback otherwise he wouldnt realize , Anyways good he realized so its WIN-WIN for both of you
