Indian Premier League South Africa 2009 Discussion (IPL T20)

I can't wait for the matches to begin.

 

Yes I am also waiting for season 2 and I also hoping same things like season 1. I am hoping for some big scoring matches.

 

Well its Pakistan government who is not allowing players to play

 

Even the Australian cricket players are unlikely to play in the first part of this IPL...due to their commitment to play in the mentioned Aus/Pak series....

I just hope the enthusiasm for this IPL remains as high as the last one!

Yes mate, I too hope for the success of this year's IPL. Actually, nothing's going the right way First there are no pakistanis playing, IPL goes to SA, matches in afternoon time in India when everyone's literally working, less enthusiasm from australian players.....

.....We can just pray.

 

yes dear, every match in this season will be high scored
but the problem is that , most of the matches will be played in afternoon time (IST and PST)
so there will be less chance for those who work in this time to watch this season live

 

yeh, but retired players like hayden will play the whole series

 

only hayden and gilchrist would be playing because Symonds also going abu dhabi for series

 

Mumbai Indians should win.

 

Since the tournament is being held in South Africa, the team which has South African players would benefit as they are used to the local conditions. Bangalore Test team might do better this year around. Chennai has big name players but it will depend on how many of the overseas players actually the entire duration of the tournament.

 

No doubt, Chennai super kings...That's because it is well known that all rounders are the once who can win you games in 20-20.... In that case we have three quality players in flintoff, Albie morkel and Jacob oram... So i would say chennai has a good chance...

 

Chennai also has Ntini dont they? He could be a handful in South Africa, even someone like Gony could be useful in South Africa. Btw, Flintoff might not play the entire tournament and the same with Hussey.

 

just to inform you, hussey is not playing this years ipl.... and even though flintoff would be available only for three weeks, i expect him to create a good impression for as long as he stays...which would help Chennai to stabilize their position in the top 4, to reach the semis...

as it is now moved to southafrica , there will be more chance that more southafrican players will play in the side
