My site is on page 17 in Google, Did I escape the sndbox?

Does it mean no sandbox??

I found my site in google page 17 with my main keywords, I tried to optimize the content as much as possible keeping readers in mind and I just got started building backlinks. Is it a good sign I'm on page 17?? My site is about two months old and haven't really put too much effort on it thinking I would be in the sandbox for sure and should take my time, but if I'm out of the sandbox then I will definitely work a lot harder on my site.

Any advise much appreciated.

try this in google:
allinanchor:"yourkeyword"

If you see your page in results, you're out of it.

I think Zipposs was trying to say to put the whole anchor text in quotes . For example if the keyword is - tnomeralc web design toys, then put that as "tnomeralc web design toys". This is just a keyword chosen based on my preference. You need to check your keywords.

You are not out of the sandbox yet, just wait your site will still be jumpy for a while. Get started on the link building google is updating their page rank in a couple of months and if you want to get any pr get the quality backlinks.
