    i sell boots online ,i need a merchant account to direct accept credit card. like www.authorize.net ,i have a company base in us ,but i am not us citizen ,they require ssn number ,who can help me ,thanks !

    Have you tried Paypal? They allow for invoicing of Credit Cards. However, if you are able to invest $30 for their software, you can process CC's online.

    There are actually quite a few companies out there that are worth working with. You just need to do your research on them. It's much more important to look for things like customer service quality, and number of online complaints, than to just compare merchant providers based on rates.

    To name a few good ones; MerchantWarehouse, CDGCommerce, MerchantPlus and Dharma Merchant Services. All great companies.
